大連市を挙げて行った今回の商談会は、例年にも増して大々的なセレモニーを催し、メディアに載せて、さらに順風満帆な船出を演出しているように思えた。事実、出店企業の数は昨年を優に超えているのだ。

前日から準備と設営をしてきた手延饂飩さんたちは、昨年からの異国の地での苦い経験を生かし、通電や備品、通訳の方の確保と、順調に作業を進めていた。

今回の展示会は、隣の会場に中国国内企業のブースを設けていた。そのため、会場の大きさは膨れ上がったのだが、バイヤーよりも一般客が増える傾向となった。

市場調査に移るため、僕たちは一足先に商談会会場を後にした。会場の外では複数のアドバルーンが浮かび、スーツ姿の一団に私服の一般人の姿も見えた。このイヴェントは街を挙げたものであると改めて知る。

日本にある外資系スーパーと変わらない景色。それよりもひとまわり大きいつくりか。日本で数少ない、大規模大量陳列はインパクトがある。また、売り場内スペースを貸し出し、賃料を発生させるビジネスモデルを展開している。
The scene which is not different from the foreign-affiliated company supermarket in Japan. It is somewhat larger structure than it here. A few large-scale mass display in Japan has impact. Moreover, the space in a counter is lent out and the business model which generates a rental rate is developed.
昼食は五つ星ホテルのランチを経験してみた。こちらも撮影は禁止。このエリアはハイブランドと高級ホテルが立ち並ぶ地域。十分な広さの歩道と街路樹を経て、さらに店舗前に設けたこの充分すぎるスペースが、高級感とその余裕を醸し出している。

そういう場所であるからか、歩道を歩いていてもクラクションを鳴らされる。駐車場が歩道であることはここの常識のようだ。高級車が歩道に堂々と停めてある。本来は別個の倫理と経済力が混在する原始的な空間。

それからは市民の住宅地である西の地域へと向かう。ビジネス街の東よりも空は近く、西に向かうに連れ、親近感が湧く街並になってきた。

西の地域は市民に根差しているものの、購買意欲の高い若者をターゲットにした巨大ショッピンングモールは圧巻のスケール。複数階をまたぐ広告や、流行の洋服の欧米ブランドが軒を連ねる。それらは日本と変わらない価格戦略であり、そうすると中国国民からは高くつく買い物であろう。
Although the west area originated in citizens, huge shoppingmall which targeted the high young man of attractiveness to consumers was a scale of the highlight. They are price strategies which are not different from Japan, and if they are done so, they will be shoppings attached highly from the Chinese people.
西の街を後にし、その後は商談会で興味を持っていただいた中国人経営者の方の営む超高級日本料理屋で会食をする。ここでは一度の食事が平均月給に匹敵する店である。もちろん食材と味はこの調査団全員のお墨付きである。今思うとその方との会話が今回の一番の収穫とも思えた。企業理念や客層の考え方、時代の生き方や今後の在り方。多くのビジネスマンが目次のように並べ立てて話す内容ではあったが、その全ての価値観でハッとさせられるものがあった。取り巻く環境と人間のベースが海外の方とは異なるのだ。中でも一番印象に残っている言葉がある。
「日本の伝統的な食文化は素晴らしいものを持っている。なぜ中国10億の人が欲しがっているものを、どんどん提供しようと思わないのか。」
今の中国の勢いそのものを体現したような言葉であった。伝統として護ってきたものと、市場開拓としての開放と露出。僕はそれに対する持論を展開したのだが、正直それが彼や中国市場にとってどういうものであったかは分からない。成長する市場と国家、一方で成熟してしまったそれら。その環境下での豊かさの追求はあるはずだ。しかし成長を常とする企業、社会構造の中で、未来を生きようとする人たちが見ていかなければいけないものは何なのか。答えは分からずとも、本質はそこにあるような気がした。

They were words by which the vigor of present China itself was denoted. What has been protected as a tradition, and opening and exposure as market cultivation.Although I explained the opinion on it, there is no telling what kind of thing it was for him or the Chinese market. Them which have ripened in the market, the state, and one side which grow. There must be pursuit of the abundance under the environment. However, what is what people who are going to live have to regard the future as in the company and social structure which make growth a usual state? Even if the answer was not found, I felt that it was there for essence.
