JETRO台湾食品ミッションについて　一日目

今年の１１月中旬、震災と原発の影響を受け、東北の企業を支援するためにJETROから台湾での商談会のお話をいただいていた。年末は社の繁忙期ではあるが、海外の動向を直に経験する良い機会と考え、渡航することを決めた。秋田県からは、稲庭うどん麻生商店*の友人、麻生孝一郎との２名、２社の参加であった。以下にその記録を綴りたいと思う。

About the JETRO Taiwan food missions _The first day

It was subject to the influence of an earthquake disaster and a nuclear power plant, and in order to support a northeastern company, I received talk of the business talk meeting in Taiwan from JETRO in mid-November, this year. Although it was the busy time of my company, the good opportunity to experience an overseas trend soon was considered, and I decided to make a voyage. From Akita Prefecture, Koichiro Aso who is a friend of the Inaba Japanese noodles Aso store* also participated. I would like to carry out the report to below.

１２月でも最高気温が２０℃を超すことがあるという台湾。一方、０℃近い秋田の早朝。僕は上に羽織るコートも持たずに空港へと向かった。

Taiwan that the maximum temperature may exceed 20 ℃ even in December. On the other hand, it is the early morning of nearly zero Akita. I went to the airport, without also having a coat put on upwards.

今回はじめて羽田空港の国際線を利用した。コンパクトな国際空港のラウンジは、思っていたよりも狭く、広い国外へと渡航する気分には少し合わなかった。

I used the international airline of Haneda Airport for the first time this time. The lounge of the compact international airport was narrow than expected, and did not suit feeling of making a voyage to outside the country, for a while.

羽田からおよそ４時間のフライトの後に到着した台北はやはり暖かく、どんよりした曇り空。そして親近感の湧く雰囲気。

It was warm in Taipei in which it arrived after the flight for about 4 hours from Haneda too. Although the weather was cloudy, it was the atmosphere in which a sense of closeness springs.

タクシーの様子でその国の空気がわかる、と僕は思っている。台湾のそれは綺麗で、交通に秩序があることで、この国の様子を察した。

I think that the air of the country is known by the situation of a taxi. It of Taiwan is beautiful, is that traffic has order, and guessed the appearance of this country.

現地の方の背格好や表情などの影響もあり、街並は日本に似ているのだと思った。移動中にカメラを向けても、日本国内と変わらない写真ばかりが残った。
I have influence of the stature in the direction of a spot, expression, etc., and thought that rows of houses resembled Japan. Even if it turned the camera during movement, only the photographs which are not different from the inside of Japan remained.

シェラトンホテルの商談会場はしっかりとしていて、いい意味で身が引き締まるような、わくわくする空間だった。

The business talk hall of the Sheraton Hotel was the exciting space that it was solid and the body became tight in a good meaning.

通訳の方を介して商談を進める。食品バイヤーだけではなく、料理人やメディア、輸出入業者様など、広くお越しいただいた。

It goes ahead with a business talk through interpreters. Not only a food buyer but a cook, media, the export-and-import contractor, etc. came widely.

会場では優秀な通訳の方が多かったらしく、自分のブースも彼女の協力により、予想以上に捗った。安達さん、ありがとう！

Seemingly there were many excellent interpreters and the talk also followed its booth by her cooperation beyond anticipation. Ms. Adachi, thank you!

息を付く暇もなく、JETRO秋田の佐藤所長のご紹介で、石ケ森さんの経営する焼肉屋へと向かう。台湾の実情にはじまり、多方面での貴重なお話を訊かせていただいた。
After the business talk, We went to the barbecue restaurant which Mr. Ishigamori manages by introduction of Director Sato of JETRO Akita. I started in the actual condition of Taiwan and was allowed to ask precious talk in the direction of many.

たくさんの出逢いと貴重なお話を伺うことができ、初日にして既に実りある一日であった。通訳の方とお話をするだけでも、国民性や食文化を知ることができた。日本での報道でもあるように、言語や治安など、穏やかな国民性は海外ビジネスへのファーストステップとして有効であり、さらには大陸に向けての足がかりとなる。そして人口2,300万人のこの国には、熱心な方が多い。言語の扱いや、接し方でそれが分かるのである。単なる旅の高揚感だけではなく、さまざまなところで胸の高まる場所であった。

I was able to have much encounter and a precious talk. The first day of Taiwan was one already fruitful day. Also only by speaking interpreters, I was able to know national traits and gastronomic culture interestingly. As it is in Japan’s report, language, the peace, and quiet national traits serve as introduction to overseas business. Furthermore, it becomes a foothold towards a continent. And this country with a population of 23 million has much more eager one. It is known depending on treatment and how to touch of language. Not only the upsurge of sentiment of a trip but Taiwan was a place which is interested also as business.

Information of the Yamamo homepage renewal

The homepage was renewed although it was still under creation in part in connection with English correspondence. It was made what can announce you a recent state of personal appearance with the report of a blog besides the substantial information of goods or a company.
In addition, this homepage is constituted by various friends’ power. People who understand their stance built one form. It is because it thought that the background which lives in a thought and snowy country of a structure hand got across to you with more power by doing so. I decided to use each work as a credit and to leave it. A concept and efforts to pass years. Amendment over several times. I think that it was not able to build when it was not this member. I am truly thankful to my friend.

I continue writing, without “minjya” of the blog here changing. I would appreciate your favor.

冬空の玄関

影を用いて。

冬の陽射しは夏のそれとは異なり、緩やかに射し込む。

だから伸びた影の長さで、季節を感じることができる。

学校帰りに影が長く伸びる頃はそろそろ帰る頃だ、

と小学生ながらに気にしていた。

大人になり、影の長さを感じる機会が減ってしまった。

自分の歩く影を意識したのは、一体どれくらい前のことだったのだろう。

見慣れた玄関から射す陽射しに、ふと考えてしまった初冬。

僕は小学生以来の影送りを、久しぶりに晴れた空に試みた。

Door of wintry weather

While seeing the shadow.

The sunbeam of winter differs from that of summer, and shines in gradually.
Therefore, I can feel the season by the length of the expanding shadow.

It is time when we returns slowly in case of expanded long the shadow.
I worried about that when I was a grade-schooler.

The chance to feel the length of the shadow has decreased while growing up.
It was the previous state very much that we worried about its shadow.

I thought suddenly by seeing the sunbeam that shone from the usual door.
I tried the shadow sending since the grade-schooler to the wintry weather that cleared up after a long time.

中国・大連商談会市場調査について　考察

できることは自分でやってみる。そうでなければ本質が見えてこないからだ。

帰国後にこの渡航で得た情報をまとめようとしていても、人によって言うことは様々である。ビジネスのためには観光の時間を惜しんでもターゲットをくまなく廻った方がいい、とか、文化を観ることで視えてくることがある、とか。おそらくどちらも本当で、人によっては後悔することになる。
自分は日本国内に於いても、文化を知ることによるマーケティングを心がけている。成熟した文化圏では、それに元付いたものでなければ、付け焼き刃でしかないと思うからだ。長い目で見れば、新規開拓の市場であっても自分のベースは同じである。だから見知らぬ土地での観光は、決して無駄ではないのだと。しかし補足をするならば、海外ビジネスがこれだけの予算を割いて、結果を出すことが難しいというのは、端から見れば道楽要素が強いと謂われても仕方がないのだ。事実、そういった類いのものも未だに多いのだろうと記述しておく。

About China and the Dalian business talk meeting market research _Consideration

I do by myself that it can do by itself. Otherwise, it is because essence cannot be seen.
Even if I am going to summarize after a homecoming the information acquired by this voyage, saying by people is various. You should visit many visitors rather than traveling for business. It may understand by traveling and seeing culture. Probably it will be both true and he will repent for some persons.
I am keeping marketing by getting to know culture in mind anywhere. It is because I will think that it is temporary especially in advanced nations if I am not what was attached to culture as for origin. If it sees by a long eye, my foundations are the same even if it is a market of new exploitation. Therefore, I think that the sightseeing in unknown land is by no means useless. However, if it supplements, even if overseas business uses a large amount of budget, it will be difficult for it to achieve results. It is unavoidable one even if it will be said that it is a hobby, if it sees from an unfamiliar person. In fact, I think that there are probably still many such kinds of things.

人と人との繋がりが新たな機会を生み出す。

出国前、打ち合わせでもあれほど気にしていた放射線の問題は、この旅で一度たりとも耳にすることはなかった。それどころか、日本の食材の需要はますます高まっている。そしてこの国には、法や政治による様々な道筋や方法論があり、そこでも重要なのは人であった。日本にいるだけでは分からないことが多すぎる。そして報道で知ることと実際の現地とでは、何も浮き彫りにはならないのである。

ビジネスシーンでは、一度の引き合いは数多くあった。しかし、そこから二度目のチャンスが巡ってくることは少ないだろうと暗に気付かされる。契約の概念が乏しいこの国では、次の一手が重要な位置を占める。そして、それが難しいからこそ、我々の渡航が空虚なものになってしまうのだ。

Relation with people and a person produces a new opportunity.
The problem of the radiation about which we cared in the previous arrangement was heard from nobody by this trip before departure from a country. The demand of Japanese foods, not to mention it, is increasing increasingy. And there are the various routes and methodology by law or politics in this country. And the person was important also there. It does not understand too much only by being in Japan in many cases. And nothing is understood at getting to know by report, and an actual spot.
On a business scene, there were many inquiries once. However, it will be tacitly carried out in the restorative that the second chance rotates from there, if it is probably small. In this country where the concept of a contract is scarce, a following way occupies an important position. And our voyage will become empty just because it is difficult.

やはり私たちは数多く足を運び、信頼できる個の付き合いを深めなければならない。そのために莫大な資金と時間を多くの企業が費やしているのだ。中国に於いては、９９％の企業が数年で失敗しているのにも関わらず、残りの１％を信じ、関係を築くため再訪する。どの国でも信頼するのには時間がかかるものだ。

また、いついかなる時も突破口を切り拓くのは人の強い意志であり、何よりもやる気であると思い知る。そしてリスクの大きな海外では、そういった意志の結束による集団でなければ、それは精神論で終わってしまう。中国市場からすれば、ビジネスと称して次々とやってくる日本の一団と、継続性のない一介の取引をし、外貨を落としてもらえれば御の字なのだ。これは膨張経済を利用した観光立国、もとい、市場調査招致立国なのである。しかしながら、相手も同じ人。親族を大切にする中国人は、信頼した人を手厚くもてなす例を耳にしている。法や政治が常に不安定な国であれば、やはり人に行き着くのはある種の理である。だからこそ一時的なものに留まらず、熱意を持って人に活路を見出すべきなのだ。

After all, many we have to visit and have to deepen association of the individual who can trust it. Therefore, many companies have spent immense funds and time. 99% of companies have failed in several years in China. However, many companies believe the remaining 1%, and it visits for the second time in order to build a relation. Trusting it in every country takes time.
Moreover, it is people’s strong will to cultivate a breakthrough when at any times. And overseas where a risk is big, if it is not a group by union of such will, it will end in failure. What is necessary is to conduct dealings without continuity into the group of Japan which comes by business one after another, and just to have foreign currency dropped, if it carries out from Chinese people. This is the trade by the sightseeing using the expanding economy. In other words, it is doing business by inviting market research. However, the Chinese who values a relative knows the example which entertains warmly the person who trusted it. If law and politics are always unstable countries, reliance of people is important too. Therefore, a voyage should be made not only with a one-time voyage but with hope repeatedly, and a confidential relation should be built.

今回の渡航は、情報や知の共有という使命を受け、市の助成をいただいたものであった。未熟だと云われることもしばしばではあるが、身の丈に合った道筋と責任を考えたい自分には、自己資金以外で物事を行うことに、正直、抵抗があった。しかし、海外事業を知るに連れ、それが虚しい努力であると気付く。グローバル化する世界では個で戦える分野は狭くなり、ある程度の規模でないと戦えないのだ。豊かな時代が長く続いた日本人が、戦後の企業統合とまではいかないにしろ、互いの利益を尊重し、共存することを考えていかなければいけない。そして決断の時は近づきつつある。私たちは勇気とフロンティアスピリッツを持って果敢に臨むべきであり、外から学ぶべきことは貪欲に学ぶべきである。かつての先人達が躍起になって築き上げた、これまでに続く道のように。

This voyage received the mission of sharing of information or knowledge, and obtained city support. I am a person who wants to consider a route and responsibility. Therefore, that I perform things except self-finance had resistance. However, I take for getting to know foreign operations, and notice that it is empty efforts. In the world to globalize, the field which can be fought by each becomes narrow, and unless it is a certain amount of scale, it cannot be fought. The Japanese whom the rich time followed for a long time has to respect mutual profits, and it must consider living together. And it is approaching at the time of decision. We should challenge with courage and frontier spirits. You should study avariciously what should be learned from outside.

市内を一通り廻った後は、ここ数年で人気の日式拉麺を食べるため、タクシーで移動した。気温も下がり、辺りの陽は既に落ちていた。

Since popular Japanese type ramen had been eaten in the past several years after inspecting in the city briefly, it moved by taxi. Temperature also fell and the neighboring sun had already gone down.

目的の日式拉麺に行く前、一般的な現地の拉麺屋に立ち寄る。牛すじとパクチーが効いた醤油風味で、日本人には馴染みの無い味だった。

Before going to the target Japanese type ramen, it drops in at the ramen store of a general spot. It was a taste which does not have familiarity to Japanese people with the soy sauce flavor beef gristle and phak chi were effective.

驚いたことに、調理は仕切りのないオープンキッチンで行われていた。すべての工程を見られても平気なのは、従業員教育がしっかりしているからか、はたまた別の理由からか。彼の手つきが熟れていることで納得しようとした。

Surprisingly, cooking was performed in the open kitchen without a partition. The visitor can see all the processes. Since it puts employees’ instruction into practice, is it from another reason? His hand was used.

目当ての日式拉麺は日本と変わらない豚骨ラーメンであった。味は豚骨の割りに薄め。麺も若干やわらかかった。欧米と同様、豚骨味は中国でも新鮮な味の表現に映るのだろう。

Aimed Japanese type ramen was boiled-pork-ribs ramen noodles which are not different from Japan. As for the taste, boiled pork ribs are thinning comparatively. Noodles were also a little soft. The boiled-pork-ribs taste will be reflected in a fresh clever expression like the West even in China.

陽が暮れてしまったこともあり、大連市内を一望できる大連電視塔へ移動。小高い丘の上にあるこの塔までは、タクシーでも予想以上に距離があった。

Since the sun has been at a loss, we move to the Dalian TV Tower which can command a whole view of the inside of Dalian. Up to this tower on a slightly elevated hill, there was distance also by taxi beyond anticipation.

展望台や建物自体は往年の東京タワーのようなつくり。時代にそぐわない雰囲気のせいか、週末だというのに客は誰もいなかった。中国市場の速さは、こういったところにも表れている。

An observatory and the building itself are structure like Tokyo Tower of former years. A visitor’s nobody was in being a weekend probably because of an atmosphere not suitable in the time.

霧掛かりやすい大連市内と、現職の市長の節電政策により、残念ながら視界は良くなかった。それでも高層ビルや大通りは明るく、夜景は人を魅了する。

By the mayor’s power-saving policy and fog, the field of view was not good. It is bright in a skyscraper or a main street, and a night view still charms people.

さらに西へと移動しながらも、ライトアップされた街並みは、塔からの景色と変わらず鮮やかだった。大連の週末の夜が華やかであることは間違いない。

Though we moved to the west further, the lit-up rows of houses were not different from the scene from a tower, and were skillful. It is certain that the night of the weekend of Dalian is busy.

西安路の夜の週末は、庶民の活気で満ち溢れていた。スリや犯罪行為に注意と云われていたが、特別な怖さはなく、どんどん道を突き進んだ。

It was filled with popular vigor the weekend of the night of Xi’an Road Commercial Zone. Although cautions were told to the pickpocket and the criminal act, there is no special fearfulness and I pushed the way on rapidly.

一本小道に入ると、気軽に入れそうな飲食店や小さな商店があった。この周辺は何かと散策するのが楽しい。

When it went into the 1 alley, there were the restaurant and the small store which are likely to be put in freely. As for this circumference, taking a walk with something is pleasant.

一方で巨大なショッピングモールも健在である。遅い時間でも、身なりの小綺麗な人たちが各々にショッピングを楽しんでいる。

On the other hand, a huge shopping mall is also living. Also in late time, the pretty people of the dress are enjoying shopping to each.

夕食よりも遅い時間になるほど、路地の屋台の賑わいは増しているように思った。どおりで、食べ物を片手に歩く人が多いはずだ。
I thought that prosperity of the stall of an alley was increasing, so that time later than supper comes. There must be many people who walk along food in one hand by a passage.

通訳の羅さんの紹介で大花清餃子という餃子の有名なレストランに入る。餃子以外は、生きた食材を選び、調理法を指定する。ウニとアサリを選択し、蒸すように注文した。
It goes into the restaurant where meat and vegetable dumplings called　Dahuaqingjiaozi are famous for introduction of Ms. Ra of an interpreter. Except meat and vegetable dumplings, useful foods are chosen and a recipe is specified. We placed an order so that a sea urchin and a short-necked clam might be chosen and steamed.

試食のためにジャンクな食事が多かったため、餃子ももちろんだが、シンプルでしっかりしたものが嬉しかった。複雑な調理をしない中華料理も人気があると知る。
There were many plain meals for a sample today. The firm dish was glad to be simple. I get to know that the Chinese food which does not carry out complicated cooking is also popular.

レストランの閉まる２２時。人の引く気配はなく、むしろ夜はこれからといった街の空気が漂う。世代や人種が入り乱れる感じは、終電間際の新宿のようだった。

22:00 when a restaurant is closed. There is no sign that people pull and the air of a town called future drifts rather night. At this place, signs that a generation and a race mixed in confusion seemed to be Shinjuku just before the last train.

「通訳は現地の方がいい。」
そう訊いていたとおり、羅さん（写真右）には地元情報やここでの常識を数多く教えていただいた。現在のような経済力が伴わない時代を経験してきた世代と、一人っ子政策を経て、いい時代を生きる若年世代との軋轢を、外国の文化を知る彼女は嘆いていた。経済成長が横ばいの私たち日本人にも、その感覚には共感するところがあった。

同行した湯沢市職員の高橋さん（写真左）も、羅さんの真摯な姿勢に非常に感謝していた。ここで彼女に別れを告げることになってしまったのだが、この渡航の収穫は出逢いという偶然の産物、彼女の存在が大きなものであった。人の繋がりや感覚の共有、それこそが未来へと続く財産なのだと思った。

She was sad about the difference of the feeling of the working population who has experienced the poor time, and the youth generation who lives a rich time. The Japanese, we of leveling off of economic growth, also had a place which sympathizes at the feeling.
The Yuzawa personnel (photograph left), Mr. Takahashi, who accompanied appreciated Mr. Ra’s earnest posture very much. Good-bye will be said to her here. The harvest of this voyage had her big existence. I thought that relation of people, sensational sharing, and it were just the property that continues to the future.
