曇り空から差し込む光は、
雨露を通して、
雨上がりの庭を深い緑にする。
その緑は梅雨の憂鬱さを思わせる。

After the rain

The green makes me melancholic in the rainy season.

透き通る米と、笑顔。
「こしき」という機械で、
700kgを越す米を蒸しあげる。
それこそ何度も繰り返している作業だが、
蒸上がりを均一にするのが難しい。
蒸気で次第に透き通っていく米に
浸漬した米を次々と投入していく。
そのタイミングや量の加減を、
状況に応じて変えていくことは
まさしく職人技と思う。
だからこそ、ふっくらと蒸しあがった後に、
互いにふと見合わせる笑顔が忘れられない仕事だ。

Rice that exceeds 700kg is steamed up with the machine “Steaming basket”.
It is difficult to even it up in steaming though it is work repeated many times.
Rice with which it soaks it in the rice gradually transparent because of steam is turned on one after another.
It is craftsmanship to change the addition and subtraction of the timing and the amount according to the situation.
Therefore, after steaming rice, the smile to which we are relieved is impressive work.

赤のインパクト。
地元三関のさくらんぼは、日本有数のもので
寒暖の差が引き出す甘味が特徴だ。
濃厚な甘味もさることながら、
強烈に目に飛び込む赤色が心をひきつける。
それは、旬という最も輝かしいときに
放てる色味なのだろう。

Cherry
Strong red
As for the cherry of MITUSEKI of local, the sweetness that the difference of the temperature draws out is delicious.
Strong red attracts me and it applies it though I am made to be pleased with thick sweetness.
The color might be red that can be put out only when in season.

模造の美。
僕は秋田に来てから、
花が一層好きになった。
季節で移り変わる様や
瑞々しい色合いに、
正に感動する。
一方で、
部屋には通年造花も飾る。
自然界には存在し得ない
模造のものもまた、
美しいと思うのだ。

The beauty of the imitation
I came to like a flower than before since I came to Akita.
I am always impressed by the change of the season and the hue of the flower.
On the other hand, I display the artificial flower in the room in whole year.
I think nature of the imitation that there cannot be in the world, in addition, to be beautiful.

働き者の燻銀。
ヤマモで最も頻繁に使われる醸造機械が、この濾過機だ。
12枚の濾過板を取り付け、じっくりとハンドルで閉めた後、
いよいよ濾過本番となる。
何十年も濾過を続けた結果、現在の風合いになったことに、
僕はひと際、愛着と感謝を覚える。
燻銀とは、まさしく彼のような働き者が醸し出せるものなのだろう。

After 12 filtration boards are installed, and it closes with the
