妥協せず、真摯に向き合う人。
彼に会うと厳しさと一緒に、とびきりの優しさをもらえる。それほど深く、私たちのことを見てくれていると感じる。
彼のコーヒー人生は自室で豆を炒る、すなわち焙煎することから始まった。それほど彼は泥臭い人間だ。今ではコーヒーの中核を成す焙煎機とエスプレッソマシーンも優に取り揃える、本格的なお店である。しかしながら、しっかりとした設備とは裏腹に彼の泥臭さを感じたくて、多くの人間が彼の元を訪れる。一杯のコーヒーと彼の一言を求めて。
決して交通の便が良いとは言えないところで商売をし、その無骨さと男気で妥協しないコーヒーを淹れる。彼自身は一連の作業を隈なくこなし、最高のコーヒーを届けるという当たり前のことをする。彼にとっての産地や製法の分かるspecialty coffeeなんて至極当然のことなのだろうが、何よりも、その職人のような美しい仕事に心を奪われ、見る者は自身を省みる。それだけ仕事に厳しい彼は、誰よりも慈悲深く、優しい男に思える。ただただ、彼の背中を見ていたくなる。

A thing in the point of the straightness.
He is reliable and is serious.
I get gentleness with strictness when I meet him. He thinks about us very much.
His coffee life parches a bean in a room; in other words began because roasted it. He is a particular person like that. He has a roast machine and the espresso machine making the core of the coffee now. Many people visit his shop. The reason is because the human nature is good not only I say that the facilities of the machine are good. We want one cup of coffee and his word.
He does business apart from an urban region. He serves coffee in the loutishness and chivalrous spirit seriously. He works carefully. To send the best coffee. Specialty coffee will be a matter of course for him. We are robbed of a heart by beautiful work like his craftsman and we mind oneself. I think him who is strict with work to be a very tender man. I want to watch his work anytime.

看板犬のカプリが、一足先に入りたがっていた。
Capri of the pet dog wanted to enter earlier than me.

ナチュラルで無骨な看板がさりげなく迎える。
There was the reputation that I was natural in a shop, and was rustic.

一切の妥協をしない、彼の眼鏡に適った豆たち。見ているだけで嗅覚が刺激されるほどだ。

旅好きの田村さんらしく、ふいにどこかへ行きたくなるような小物が随所に溢れる。

大きな窓から見える木々。しばしの焙煎の音。後に静寂の世界が訪れる。
The trees which I see from a big window. It is the quiet space where I hear only the sound of the roast.

田村カメラ。彼の目で見た現実が、これによって切り取られる。
This is a camera of Tamura. Thus he cuts reality.

無駄のない動きは、やはり美しく、つい見とれてしまう。
The movement without his waste is beautiful, and I admire it carelessly.

男らしく、綺麗なカプチーノが届いた。
Beautiful cappuccino arrived from him.

ソファはとびきり柔らかく、深く腰が沈む。体全体が包み込まれ、ゆったりとした時間が過ぎる。

帰り際にカプリが顔を埋めてきた。私たちを何気なく感じ取ってくれる田村さんと対照的に、カプリはいつでも直接的だった。この絶妙のコンビに、いつもやられてしまうのだった。

淡色のアクセント。
八丈島から南の花、フリージアが届いた。
島では３月にフリージアのお祭りがあるようだ。
雪国のモノトーンの生活の中に、
やさしい色味が入ってくるのは、とても嬉しい。
花瓶の側を通る度に、目を奪われる。
過ぎてゆく日々にアクセントを加える。
ささやかでも、色の存在が生活を変えるのだと思う。

Freesia
The accent of the light color.
The freesia of the south flower arrived from Hachijo-jima Island.
There seems to be the festival of the freesia in the island from March.
I am very glad of a light color being seen in the life of the monotone of the snowy district.
I am fascinated whenever I go along the side of the vase.
The light color gives our life a motivation.
I think that the existence of the color changes life.

心を映す表情。
女の子の成長の無事を祈るために雛人形が飾られる。
これは祖母の実家から伯母のために贈られたものらしい。
昭和9年のもので三人官女と五人囃子もついている。
日本人形の顔を、改めてまじまじと見てみると
角度や光の当たり方で、様々な表情に捉えられる。
モナリザにも似た、アルカイックスマイルを体験する。
この不思議な表情は、見る者の心を映すようだった。

Hinamatsuri
Expression that projects mind.
To pray for girl’s safety, Hinaningyou is decorated.
This seems to be the one from grandmother’s parents’ family presented for the aunt.
Three ladies in waiting and five court musicians were sets by the one in 1934.
I observed the face of the Japanese doll again.
It is caught in various expressions by how to hit the angle and light.
It has the resemblance setting up also by Gioconda. And, it was an archaic smile.
The expression seemed to project the mind of the person who saw.

汲み取るチカラ。
昨年に独立し１人でhair&cafe chouchouと古書館yotuba bunkoを営む近江君にお会いした。彼は古いものをこよなく愛し洗面台から椅子、テーブルと、取り巻く全てのものを彼の目利きで揃えている。独立の構想を抱いてから、長い時間をかけて築きあげた、宝物のような家具が並んでいる。
自身で美容室の敷居を下げたかったと話すように、一見それと思えないようなつくりだ。外観は古い家具屋を思わせるようなもので、それを１人で外装内装をさらりとやってのけるのは、彼の生活空間に対するこだわりと、この土地で発信することの意味を彼自身が強く感じているからだろう。
好きなもののイメージの話から髪型のスタイルを作りあげる彼のやり方は、長い年月を経たものからその背景を読み取るような、深層心理まで理解する彼独特のスタンスがそうさせているのではないだろうか。
髪と本と喫茶。彼のつくる空間とライフスタイルの提案をこれからも見ていきたいと思った。

Power to take consideration into.
I met Oomi whom I became independent in last year, and ran hair&cafe chouchou and ancient book building yotuba bunko alone. He likes old things, and himself chooses washstand and chair, table and everything. He took long time after thinking about a thing of independence and had furniture. Important furniture forms a line in his workplace.
That appearance is a structure such as an old furniture dealer to tell that he wanted to lower the threshold of the hair salon. He performed the decoration and interior decoration alone.
It is his way that make the style of the hairstyle from the story of the favorite only image. The reason will be because there is ability peculiar to such him who reads the background from the thing which passed through long time.
A hair salon and a bookstore and the coffee shop which he runs. I wanted to look at space and the lifestyle that he made from now on.

真っ赤なりんごのようなやかんで湯を沸かし、訪問者に温かい飲み物を出してくれる。
He boils hot water with a kettle such as a bright red apple and starts warm drink to a visitor.

テーブル中央に差された花。モダンで無機質な彼の世界観が広がる。
The flower which was added in the table center. He expresses a view of the world that he is modern, and is mineral matter.

整然と置かれた雑誌。その陳列にも趣がある。
The magazine which was put orderly. There is attraction in the exhibition.

yotuba bunkoの正面に位置するキャビネット。
A cabinet to be located in in the front of “yotuba bunko”.

古書を手に取り、キャビネット横の椅子でゆっくりくつろぎたくなる。
I pick up an ancient book and want to relax by a chair of the cabinet side.

ガレージを改装した古書館はソファで落ち着いてしまうようなスケール感。
I made myself at home in a sofa of the ancient book building that redecorated the garage.

白漆喰の壁は彼が一週間かけて塗り上げたそうだ。
The wall of the white plaster was short of him for one week and finished painting it.

思わず手に取りたくなる古書のディスプレイ。
The display of the ancient book that I want to pick up unintentionally.

180cmを越す長身で、胸元まであるロングヘアー。グレーの薄手のニットにブルージーンズ。シンプルで潔い彼が、７年間履き続けた皮靴の風合いが、彼の世界観を端的に表しているようだった。
He is long hair with a person of high stature spending 180cm. And he wore blue jeans to gray thin knit. The leather shoes which he of a simple style continued wearing for seven years seemed to express his view of the world plainly.
