現在の伝統、地域産業は過去の取り組みの連続性の中にあります。持続可能な産業を目指すきっかけとして、約３０年ぶりに四代目の畑でつくられた大豆をアクセサリーとして残すことにしました。アクセサリーブランド、ch:farm様には実際に畑にお越しいただき、収穫の大豆を根からまるごと送り、作品を制作していただきました。実際に土に触れるところから、今回の取り組みが実現しました。土づくりから育てた大豆を、食品としてだけではなく装飾品として残し、活動の初志を残すことができたことを嬉しく思います。この度の企画をご紹介します。

YAMAMO SUSTAINABLE FIELD_In a Different Form

永沢さんの作品

工場業務や畑作業、岩崎のフィールドワークなどインターンシップで経験したことを一枚の油絵にしていただきました。ノスタルジックな雰囲気や商品と料理の質感、古い日本家屋の表現が弊社ヤマモそのものを映し出しているような気がします。社員一同、驚きながらも見入ってしましました。ありがとうございました。
Nagasawa’s work

ヤマモの庭園を開くため、新たなルートを設計し、入り口を設けます。私たちは現在の玄関横の部屋であるセレクトショップから庭園に臨もうとしています。そのためには屋根や軒を工夫する必要があり、冬期の降雪や雪下ろしの問題を解決しなければなりません。昨年試験した簡易的な融雪装置を豪雪に耐えうるものにし、庭園に面する軒下に設置すべく、作業を進めています。
