TU Completed doctoral course at Berlin University. Engaged in the London Renaissance paradigm shift city development, citizen participatory urban development plan. Currently the urban development plan to Berlin City is the largest project.
We have finished our 9 day effort to devise the Yuzawa area as a concept based on the context and culture of the land, “Fermentation City”, to involve local residents and to spread the effect to the world. We achieved fund procurement at cloud funding, we could cooperate with various people in the area and we were able to start holding. Regions are united toward one event. There was a gentle feeling that community love and fever live together. Below I would like to introduce the situation of the day.
The beginning of the event was invited by Berlin urban developer Cordelia Polinna and each player discussed the region and its future from various perspectives in order to foster the direction of development “Yuzawa’s development direction” master plan. From the high school student to the 70’s, the position was composed of people from various positions with activists, administrative staff, financial institutions, architects, chefs. They were visualized one after the other and information accumulated on the huge map on the floor.
After the master plan conference was over, we had a program of such foods that unearthed the theme from ingredients sleeping in each area of Yuzawa on weekdays and enjoyed the region while talking with the chefs, for five days. We can comprehensive experience while fusing with fermented food as well as camping and indigo dyeing on land and learned the possibilities of region and new ways to enjoy together with key words of fermentation.
In the latter half of the event, Iwasaki Kura was the venue, and an opening event was held inviting V.I.P and related people. After that, we invited guest musicians and Dj from abroad and held a music night until the morning. “To do until the morning” is the liver of this project, which was the one that needed to complete completely in order to create a new culture. There was more excitement than expected, and a fantastic club appeared only one night in sake brewery.
After finishing the event and listening to various voices there was something interesting. Following the legacy, the activities to brush up the method to the present age envelop the region and encourage calm regeneration.
I think that this effort was one success experience for the region. We unearth the context rooted in the land and promote efforts without concern as a new culture formation. I hope that this effort to enclose the region will continue in the future.
In promoting overseas development, we made naming of Akita miso and changed packages. The previous design was made by Akita Prefecture Miso Soy Sauce Industry Cooperative Association in common by several companies, the nostalgic design also has Akita Miso-like appearance, but our original elements were few. While paying respect to what we did in the past in the industry, we would like to reflect our ideas in our products.
We repeated discussions with film makers and adopted the industry’s first foam material. In addition, the surface is embossed with an air layer, greatly enhances insulation and barrier performance, and it is a package that can withstand overseas transport sufficiently.
