これまでと、
これからを、
照らすもの。
錆と凹みのある、古いアルミのデスクライトを見つけた。
アルミにこびり付くような埃を払い、恐る恐るコンセントを差すと同時、
「ぼん」っとショートをしてしまった。
その聞き慣れない音に、僕は俄然やる気になり、
マイナスドライバーで錆びたネジを回し始める。
灯りが点く事を期待しながら作業を進め、
鈍いスイッチに手をかけたとき、ふと変なことが脳裏をよぎる。
このデスクライトは僕と親父の関係に似ている。
これまでに照らしてきたものと、これから照らしていくもの。
両方が揃って、はじめて一人前になるのかなぁ、なんて。
薄暗いライトが点いたときには、もう、日が暮れていた。

Old desk light
The one to shine on the situation to date and the future.
I found an old desk light with rust and the dent.
I brush and the power supply and it are short.
When a short-circuited light was seen, I ever more became a motivation.
I began to turn the rusty screw with the flat screwdriver.
I proceeded work while expecting the thing that the light lights up.
I finished the repairs, and switched on at the end.
And, I thought.
This desk light looks alike to the relation between father and me.
What has been shone on so far and the one that will be shone on in the future.
It was thought that it became independent only after these both became complete.
The day had already grown dark when the light lit up dimly.
