老木が生い茂るヤマモの水神庭園では、管理を怠らずとも、老木に腐朽部分ができることも珍しくありません。特に屋根から近いモミジは例年の大雪の影響によって、オンコは樹勢不良と腐朽菌の侵入によって危険な状態にありました。四代目の時代の写真から、当時の植栽をなるべく残すべく、庭園の中でも中央に位置するこの２本の治療を行いました。
