    春、気になる皮肉。



    筍が収穫された。

    例年、春の味覚として気になってしまう。

    焼き筍*や筍御飯*と、ここでも留まることなく、つらつらと。



    その理由は、竹かんむりに旬と書いて「筍」と書くよう、

    “竹の子”としていられる食用期間が短いせいもあるだろう。



    長い冬を待ち、ようやく収穫した春の食材は、

    ふきのとうや山菜同様、旬は短く、下処理まである。

    肝心な味には、独特な癖までついてくる。



    なんて皮肉な食材!

    だから気になってしまうのかな、春。












    Bamboo shoot

    The spring foods which we waited for a long winter and gathered a harvest have Japanese butterbur and wild grass.
    These have a short period eaten and we have to do cooking special to that for eating.
    And there is the peculiar taste in these.
    They are very ironical foods!
    Therefore, will I be worried in spring?
