ヤマモ味噌醤油醸造元が“七夕絵とうろう祭り”に二日間限定で湯沢酒造会館にカフェを出すことになりました。お店の名前は“ゴヨウキキ茂助・カフェ”といいます。
ヤマモの初代である茂助は味噌醤油をつくる前、広く商品を取り揃える地域の“御用聞き”として営んでおりました。かつての記憶を呼び起こし、現代の“ゴヨウキキ*”として、特別に選んだお飲み物や食べ物を取り揃えるつもりです。

Yamamo miso soy sauce brewing origin will put out the cafe at “Star Festival”. The name of the cafe is said, “Goyoukiki Mosuke caffe”.
The first generation of Yamamo is a name of Mosuke. He had worked as “Goyoukiki” before making the miso soy sauce.I will wake up the memory before, and collect the drink and the food specially chosen as modern “Goyoukiki”.

ポストモダンの建築家・白井晟一の建てたこの建物は、白井氏のつくり出す重厚な雰囲気と年月の経過による哀愁がすばらしい調和を見せてくれます。これは伝統産業に従事する私が常日ごろから追い求めている感覚です。このカフェは五感すべてでこの土地の良さを体験できる、貴重な機会と思っています。

酒造会館は、お祭りのメイン会場からは少し離れています。『賑やかなお祭りを見ては、路地裏のカフェでひと休み。』そんなお祭りの過ごし方もまた、いいものだと思います。

まだまだ会場は手付かずの状態ですが、日々の醸造と同様にコツコツと時間をかけてつくりあげていきたいと思っております。会場では飲食だけではなく、各種物販も行います。こちらのブログにて当日までの準備の様子をご紹介していきます。楽しみにしていてください。
